Christmas gift exchange at workplace

My 1st year joining a Christmas gift exchange event. A few simple guidelines was made so that all the gifts received and given are considered fair to everyone.

1. Gifts are to be above RM15
2. Unisex presents ( Can be used by male or female)
3. Non consumable items
4. Price tag or receipt should be wrapped together with the gift

After searching high and low, I bought a ready made gift from Bodyshop. Quite simple with 3 face towel wrapped in a basket with Merry Christmas wordings.

The day came for the exchanging of gifts. As told by some of my colleagues, a game of exchanging gifts was held.
The game is quite simple to play. Gifts that are open can be stolen.

1. Everyone gathered takes a number.
2. 1st person picks a gift on the table and opens it.
3. 2nd person can choose to steal from 1st person or pick a new gift to open.
4. If the 2nd person decides to steal, then 1st person have to pick a new gift
5. Gifts can be stolen 3 times only. After the 3rd time, the gift will be with its new owner.
6. Gift stolen cannot steal back by same person.
7. 1st and 2nd player gets a chance to steal gifts after the round finishes.

What present i lost. A stylish clock, RM20 Giant gift voucher, a 'hugging couple' to put salt and pepper, a small pillow and a Cadbury full of chocolate ( a forbidden gift coz is edible).

I finally got a Sheaffer pen.

Lok Kawi Wildlife Park

Opened since Chinese New Year '07, is most probably the best zoo u can find in Sabah. 2 roads connect this zoo, one from Donggongon and another from Putatan. If u need me to guide u there, just leave me a comment. The entrance looked like this

Entrance fee for locals are RM10 for adult n RM5 for Children
If ur 60+years old or kids wearing school uniform (Free Entrance)
Foreigners are charge RM20 and RM10 respectively for adult and child.
The best day to come is on Sat&Sun. It's becoz more activity will be open for the kids during weekend & public holidays. The time to come is between 10am to 12pm, feeding time for the animals. A map of the zoo.

In this zoo, u can see a lonely rhinoceros, restless sun bears (sometimes wrestling), group of elephants, posing tigers (only active when lunch arrive), a noisy n mischievous pair of otters, orang utan (didn't get a chance to see them monkeying around coz close on tat day for upgrading works), gibbons, etc..

What I miss about my 1st Job

All the times that I missed, the goodness and kindness that I gained from my 1st Job. Ranking the good to the best.

10. Cheap key duplication and learning to open lock doors (unsuccessful practical attempts but at least have the theory of it in my head)
9. Post office on Ground Floor
8. Near my home and start work 9am.
7. Training at KL but I did not make it there. But just dreaming of it also makes it good.
6. No Politics(you know the meaning) as the workplace has not more than 20 workers.
5. Surrounded by Jehovah witnesses colleague. Good natured, friendly and kind as Christians.
4. Free badminton weekly, paid by boss.
3. Manager looking after your back all the time, slowly passing all his skills of survival from experience)
2. A kind boss with very good talking style (Smiling while talking with very deep meanings inside all his conversation. Usually encouragement to do better in everything especially improving my selling skills)
1. The most missed reason: Free homecook lunch by lau pan niang (I think or maybe maid) on mon,wed and fri.

My First Job

At last.... After years of education to get a degree ,an extra 5months searching aimlessly in KK and a few interviews, I finally found a job.. Yeah!!

My 1st job title: Product Engineer. What is that, everyone keeps asking me. Well, it's all about switches and smart home system. All I have to do is market the product which I absolutely have no idea and despise of and doing some programming.

Conclusion: Sleepless night is what you get when you can't sell well enough. Worrying every single day about ways to market and sell the product. Very stressful. Last a month and a half in this job. Left the company cause I desperately needed to leave this kind of life and I found another job. I became happy, restless and carefree on the last day of the job. All my worries gone with the wind.

Recommendation to myself: I don't do well as a sales person even though I am friendly person. Will stay away from any job that requires doing sales.
