York

At the middle of the summer course, we were treated to a visit to York by LJMU. York, located in the middle of England, is a tourist attraction city. The town is surrounded by a wall and a few gates for entry purposes.

One of the gates to enter the town. The old map of the town.
Spotted this tower and decided to take a closer look.

What was a fortress, is now left a tower standing tall alone.
The view from the tower. Paid a small fee to enter the tower. (Declan and me rode on the ferris wheel..quite embarrassing haha)

We were fortunate enough to find a once in a lifetime chance to drive a boat. 1 hour boat ride, of course with a small fee to pay shared by the 3 of us. We were given a short lecture on how to drive a boat. But I only remember 1 rule and that is to always keep to the right hand side of the river. It's an international rule if I'm not mistaken. We took a lot of pictures along the way but I'm just sharing some. There's Victor, me and Declan.

After the boat ride, we continue our exploration around town. We managed to get a photo with this guy guarding the entrance to a Dungeon ride.
Before getting on the bus back to Liverpool, we walk the wall surrounding the town. 20minutes walk and we have to back track back to where we came as it seem to be a long way ahead and time is running out.
